B&C Morning Show: Jeter's Performance Garners The Front Page
When Derek Jeter entered the batter's box in the 5th inning yesterday afternoon in Texas, he had not hit a home run in 259 at-bats, a drought spanning all the way back to August of last year (62 games).
From there Jeter proceeded to belt two long balls in consecutive at-bats as the Yanks put a beating on the Rangers, winning the game 12-5.
Jeter's heroics landed him on the front page of the of the NY Post, which prompted Boomer & Craig to question whether his efforts were worthy of top billing. They discussed the "hot-button" topic to open up this Monday edition of the "Morning Extravaganza," agreeing that the Post may have gone a bit overboard in paying homage to the Captain.
