B&C Morning Show: Jerry Updates Kuroda's Brilliance; Cromartie's Double Duty And More
Hiroki Kuroda tossed a gem last night in the Bronx and the Yankees beat the Rangers 3-0, so that is where Jerry Recco began his first update of the morning. Kuroda was dealing all night, was actually flirting with a no-hitter heading into the 7th before yielding an in-field hit to Elvis Andrus leading off the inning and settling for a 2 hit shutout - not a bad night's work for the Yanks' new 'ace.'
We got to hear Joe Girardi describe the scene in the 6th inning, before a discussion ensued regarding whether or not a no-hitter can actually be jinxed.
Plus Bobby Valentine is reportedly destroying the Red Sox (and Craig loves it!!!), Giants defensive lineman Shaun Rogers will reportedly miss the entire season for Big Blue, Rex Ryan talks about how his Jets team team looked in shorts, Craig calls out the Jets upper-brass for finding themselves in a situation where they have to use Antonio Cromartie as a wide receiver and (for those of you who care) the Mets lost to the Reds 3-0, thanks to a game-winning blast off the bat of Jay Bruce...
