B&C Morning Show: Jerry Doesn't Disappoint (And Doesn'tShave His Knuckles)

When Boomer and Craig learned that Jerry Recco was going to be golfing with Joe Benigno yesterday, they gave him specific instructions and they were pretty simple: do not lose -- and if you do, don't come back to work.

Simple enough.

Luckily, as good as Jerry is at delivering his updates, he is even better at following instructions and a pretty good golfer to boot.  So with that said, Jerry was happy to report that he did in fact finish with a better score than Joe B - although he didn't know exactly what he shot, which is odd.

Boomer appeared to grow tired of the subject, so he suggested that Jerry shave his unusually hairy knuckles.

After all of that, Jerry and his fuzzy knuckles went on to deliver his first update of the morning, getting things started with the Yankees second straight loss to the Blue Jays (3rd straight setback overall) last night in Toronto.  The Bomber's offense has all but disappeared, losing last night 4-1 and are now 3 for their last 60, with runners in scoring position,

The Mets got a gritty, 9-4 comeback win over the Reds and afterward Terry Collins said David Wright is 'the guy' - which is tough to argue after the Mets 3rd baseman went 2-2, w/3 BB & 3 runs and is now batting a robust .411 on the season.

Plus, Rangers-Devils will play Game 3 tomorrow afternoon at the Rock in Newark, Kings beat the Coyotes 2-1 to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals.  The Pacers took a 2-1 series lead over the Heat with an impressive 94-75 beat-down in Indiana, Spurs go up 2-0 on the Clippers with a convincing 105-88 victory.  The Jets signed their 1st round draft pick Quinton Coples to a 4 year-deal and Jonathan Vilma has a filed a defamation lawsuit against Roger Goodell...
