Plane Engine Catches Fire After Apparent Bird Strike At Atlantic City Airport
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A plane had to be evacuated after an aborted take-off at Atlantic City's airport.
The Spirit Airlines flight was leaving for Fort Lauderdale, Florida, late Saturday afternoon when an apparent bird strike caused the right engine to catch fire.
The pilot brought the plane to a stop, and everyone on board was fine.
The passengers made their way down evacuation slides before being taken by bus back to the terminal.
