Another Shaky Day At Jets Camp For Tebow

CORTLAND, NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) - Tim Tebow had another shaky day at Jets' camp on Wednesday.  Gang Green's backup quarterback hasn't had the best of starts in coming grips with life as a New York Jet.

Tebow threw an interception during drills, but received plenty of support from young fans.

TEBOW TIME: The team returned to the practice field Wednesday after a day off, and Tebow was back running the second-team offense and working as the punt protector on special teams.

HOW'D HE DO: It was another underwhelming practice for the offense overall, Tebow included. He was unofficially 2 for 4 in 11-on-11 drills, and was intercepted by rookie safety Antonio Allen on a deep throw into the end zone. Tebow also got shouted at by offensive coordinator Tony Sparano for a lack of velocity on a completed screen pass. On special teams, he took a snap on a fake punt and threw a jump pass — as he did during practice Monday.

TEBOWMANIA: Tebow had been off the practice field and in the locker room for at least 15 minutes when a few young fans could be heard in the distance repeatedly shouting, "Teee-bowww! Teee-bowww!" in hopes that he might come back out. He didn't.

TALKING TEBOW: "I've been so caught up in the Tebow coverage, I haven't had time for anything else." — Giants owner John Mara responded when asked about Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' comments Tuesday about kicking the Giants' rear ends.
