Willow hadn't been seen since running out of her house during a renovation half a decade ago.
Thanks to a microchip implanted when she was a kitten, animal control workers were able to get in touch with the cat's owners who are now making arrangements to bring her home.
Willow was found Wednesday on East 20th Street. It is unclear how she traveled 1,600 miles.
