Adele's Theme For New James Bond Movie 'Skyfall' Makes Internet Debut

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The man with the license to kill is back and he has a new woman singing his song.
The 23rd James Bond film - "Skyfall" - hits theaters in the U.S. on November 9, but the theme song of the same name made its debut on the internet Friday morning U.K. time - coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the release of the first film in the series - "Dr. No."
The song was performed by 24-year-old British singer Adele and co-written by Adele and Paul Epworth. According to CommanderBond.net, it features a 77-piece orchestra.
The site quotes Adele as saying, "I'll be back combing my hair when I'm 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I'm sure!"

This latest Bond film will feature a score from Thomas Newman, who is making his debut with the franchise.
Also making his debut with the franchise is director Sam Mendes, who has had a long association with Newman.
The film will feature Daniel Craig's third performance as agent 007, plus Judi Dench will reprise her role as M. Making a return for the first time since 2002's "Die Another Day" is the character of Q, who will be portrayed by 31-year-old Ben Whishaw. The central villain in the film - Raoul Silva - will be portrayed by Javier Bardem.
The character of James Bond made his debut in Ian Fleming's 1953 novel "Casino Royale."
