9/28 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning, folks!

We have some changes in the forecast as the latest model runs have started to come in better agreement with our rain chances this week. But for today, still looking at mostly cloudy skies with some passing showers. They'll be scattered and not everyone will see 'em. Temps will be warmer than yesterday, warming into the upper 70s.

Its looking like a more active cold front than originally indicated, with help from some southern moisture. Expect periods of rain for your Tuesday, becoming more widespread during the evening and into Wednesday morning. The good news is we REALLY need the rain. We've gone 14 days without any precip in Central Park, and even longer without any significant rainfall.

Things dry out toward the end of the week with much cooler temps. Have a great week!
