600 Pumpkins Stolen From Long Island Farm
CALVERTON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police this weekend were searching for the suspects who stole hundreds of pumpkins from a farm on Long Island.
As WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, there are over four acres of pumpkins available to be picked by visitors at Rottkamp's Fox Hollow Farm, at 2287 Sound Ave. in Calverton. There are also another 36 acres where pumpkins are grown on the farm.
600 Pumpkins Stolen From Long Island Farm
Police said the suspects got onto the property and stole about 600 pumpkins.
Authorities said the pumpkins are worth about $4,200 in total.
The Rottkamp family has owned the farm since 1967, according to a Newsday report.
