5-Year-Old Struck, Killed By SUV In Sunset Park
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 5-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn.
Kiko Shao was running on 55th Street toward Fifth Avenue around 3:20 p.m. when she was struck head-on by a 2002 Cadillac Escalade driven by a 28-year-old man, police said. She was brought to Lutheran Medical Center, where she was prounounced dead on arrival, authorities said.
The driver remained on the scene. Police were still investigating. It was not clear Thursday night if the man would face any charges.
