4/3 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Matt DeLucia

Good afternoon, folks... and a windy one at that! After some severe weather late last night with damaging winds and hail and some snow squalls this morning, we're now left with the cold temps and gusty winds.
A High Wind Warning remains into effect until 2pm for NYC and 6pm for eastern Long Island for gusts up to 50-60 mph at times. Despite the partly sunny skies, temps won't climb out of the upper 30s and low 40s around the Tri-State. Wind chills will remain in the teens and 20s!
Winds will diminish this evening and more clouds will move in overnight. A Freeze Warning has been issued for some as temps dip to the freezing mark, so you'll want to bring in those sensitive plants!
Another round of soggy weather moves in tomorrow, with more wintry precip to the north of the city. It doesn't look like a complete washout, but there will be periods of rain moving through during the day. Temps will struggle to get to the 50 degree mark.
Expect sunshine by Tuesday, but it stays cold... highs only in the low 40s at best. Keep it right here as we track these below normal temps!
