3/7 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

Good Monday morning everybody! Despite a chilly start to the morning, we have a huge warmup ahead for much of the work week! Temps in the 20s and 30s this morning will surge into the mid 50s - expect 57 in NYC. That's well above normal and best thing is, we'll get plenty of sun too.

Tomorrow's gonna be an even better day with more sunshine and temps reaching the middle 60s! With a high of 65 in NYC tomorrow, we're talking serious warmth - 20 degrees above normal! But the warmth ain't going anywhere soon...

...Because we'll find 70 degrees on Wednesday, and that would be a record in NYC. There's a chance we could hit 70 again Thursday in parts of the area, but that depends on how quickly a cold front works through the region. As of now we expect mid 60s in NYC with some late day thundershowers before a slight cool-down for the weekend.
