2/4 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis, CBS2 Meteorologist

It will be generally quiet this afternoon with peeks of sun in the mix. Southwest winds will warm us to about 40° -- the first time in 10 days!

Snow, maybe even a little mixing expected across our NW suburbs tonight; snow arrives in the city at 5/6 AM. Expect a light to moderate snow through the morning rush with snow ending by late morning or midday. Snow accumulations of up to an inch are possible around here... 1-3" across our far northern suburbs. It will be breezy through the afternoon with peak wind gusts of 35 mph.

Another arctic air mass will settle in nicely on Friday... wake up temperatures will only be about 10°; afternoon temperatures only in the mid 20s. The good news is we'll see partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies.

Saturday's looking like a mix of sun and clouds with the chance of a flurry anywhere from the city and north. Highs that day will bounce back to the mid 30s.

Check back for more details on tomorrow's snow!
