2/22 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Monday morning, everybody!

We're waking up to colder temps than we've had during the weekend, but the good news is we'll get plenty of sunshine today with dry conditions. Expect a high in NYC of 47, a few above normal. Overall it's a good looking day with no issues.

Clouds move into the area tomorrow and by the late evening, we could be dealing with some rain and even some snow north/west of the city. The way things look now, don't expect more than an inch or two of the white stuff, as the majority of this storm will be rain.

We'll have occasional rain Wednesday morning with heavier stuff moving in Wednesday evening, and continuing overnight into Thursday morning. Temps spike overnight into the low 50s, and winds will get gusty too... don't be surprised if there are even some rumbles of thunder! Looks like we'll get a good soaking so local roadways will have flooding issues.

We'll cool things off and dry out for the end of the week, with a return to wintry cold shaping up for the end of next weekend. Have a great day!
