2/21 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Despite being noticeably cooler and cloudier than yesterday, we still had an above normal day in the temps department... and that will help us out big time tonight. Some light rain will fall tonight, steadiest south of NYC - but still very light amounts. There could be a few flakes at the tail end but no accumulations at all. Expect things to wind down after midnight with temps dropping to the mid 30s.

The way things look now, tomorrow will be the pick of the week with sunny & dry conditions. It'll be cooler with temps in the mid- and upper 40s along with a light breeze - but still above the norm. Tuesday morning will start off cloudy and chilly, only getting into the low 40s for the high, and then weather gets active.

We'll have a prolonged period of unsettled weather Tuesday night through Thursday afternoon... but there will be breaks in the action. Expect a few showers, maybe some wintry stuff mixed in Tuesday evening, then a brief break Wednesday morning before heavier stuff moves in Wednesday PM into Thursday. Temps will spike overnight and we could be looking at some 50s early Thursday morning before a cold front moves through. Looks like a good windy soaking with this one before we dry out and cool down to a seasonable chill to end the week.

Stay tuned for the latest!
