1/9 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Matt DeLucia

Good afternoon, folks! The remainder of today will not be a washout, but expect plenty of cloud cover and some spotty drizzle from time to time. Temps will top out in the upper 40s to around 50 for most, with slightly cooler numbers far north and west.
Rain arrives overnight as temps actually remain steady and begin to climb. We're talking record highs for tomorrow as places south of the city climb into the low 60s! We're expecting 60 in the city, but just one tick higher and we'll break the current record of 60 set way back in 1876!

We'll pick up a good soaking, with periods of heavy rain Sunday morning. Winds will be gusting to 30 mph, so might have some umbrella problems. It'll taper off into the afternoon and early evening, clearing out tomorrow night. Looks like 1-1.5" for most by the time it moves out. Then tomorrow night, temps take a huge dive! Could even have some wrap around moisture bring some quick snow showers in the far NW suburbs.
Temps drop into the 20s and low 30s tomorrow night, and then Monday struggle to get out of the 30s in the city. It stays breezy right into Tuesday and Wednesday. A clipper system may bring a period of light snow Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Big changes over the next few days, so check back often!
