1/6 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis, CBS2 Meteorologist

We'll see plenty of sun this afternoon; and even better news, it won't be as brutal out there! Highs today are expected to be about 10° warmer than yesterday in the upper 30's to near 40°.

High pressure overhead will allow for our skies to remain mainly clear through the overnight hours. Temps will fall into the upper 20's by daybreak.

Smooth sailing continues into tomorrow as high pressure lifts just off to our north and east. There will be a few more clouds, especially into the afternoon, but with temps warming a few more degrees, it will feel slightly better again.

Some more clouds will fill in on Friday, but the good news is our rain chance should hold off until the nighttime hours (and it's only about a 20-30% chance at that).

As for Saturday, there will be a lingering chance of light rain or drizzle with rain likely that night.
