1/25 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Hey there folks, hope you were able to dig out and make it to work today!
Plenty of sunshine and temps above freezing will allow for some snow to melt - but with the amount of snow that fell, it won't all disappear. Problem is, once we get into the night temps will drop back below freezing, and there will be icy spots around. Take extra caution out on the roads tonight & tomorrow morning.
More clouds tomorrow with a slight chance for a few light rain showers. A storm system will pass us by to the northwest and we'll be in the mid 40s. However, there could be a few flakes mixed in late at night as cold air returns. Nothing more than just a few slick spots at night and Wednesday morning. Wednesday's forecast is very similar with temps in the 40s and few more drops/flakes.
Looks like we dry out Thursday with much colder air - we'll only reach the mid 30s for high temps despite plenty of sun. We'll be keeping our eye on the coast Friday as a storm system tries to develop and pass by...Check back soon for more details on that!
