12/19 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Grab those coats, gloves, and hats! It's finally feeling like December out there today, with temps struggling to get much above the upper 30s and low 40s across the tri-state. With those gusty winds out of the west, it'll be feeling more like the 20s and 30s out there, despite plenty of sunshine.

Some of the N&W suburbs already saw some flakes in the air, and that will continue this afternoon. Nothing to worry about, just a passing snow shower or two being blown down from the northwest. Temps drop even lower overnight, into the 20s for most... the "warm-spot" being the city at 32 with mostly clear skies. Winds will diminish heading into tomorrow morning.

Temps climb a little higher Sunday into the mid 40s, and with light winds it won't feel as harsh. Still lots of sunshine to finish up the weekend. Another jump on Monday as we head into the low and mid 50s with increasing clouds. Things turn unsettled by midweek, but wow... record warmth looks likely once again by Christmas Eve as we soar into the 60s!

Enjoy the holiday feel this weekend and if you like mild temps... they're on the way!
