1/12 CBS2 Tuesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Snow will spread into our northwest counties this afternoon with rain and snow showers expected around the city late in the afternoon and into the evening. Snow totals will be generally light... trace amounts to an inch or so... but it will make for slightly more difficult travel during the rush in some areas, so play it safe.

The snow wraps up this evening and is chased by cold, gusty winds through the early morning hours... wake-up wind chills of only 10-15° are expected in the city. And the winds will keep up through the day tomorrow, so it will only feel like 20° at best.

Thereafter we'll quiet down with temps returning to the 40s by Friday.
