1/11 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Good afternoon, all!
It's not feeling too bad out there today, especially when compared to this time yesterday. We're going for a high of 34 in Central Park under partly cloudy skies. Clouds increase later tonight and precipitation moves in during the early morning hours tomorrow.
So what can you expect? Pretty much just a mess of winter weather! A mixed bag of snow, sleet, rain and freezing rain will start off your morning. Location will determine exactly what you see, with the most snow being north and west of the city. It definitely looks like a messy morning commute. As temps climb above freezing, more rain will overtake the area during the day tomorrow, but you'll still find some sleet and freezing rain mixed in as well. Expect 1-3 inches of snow and sleet for the far northwest suburbs, and closer to a slushy coating in the city.
The latest suggests cold air will be pulled in as this system exits late tomorrow night and into early Tuesday morning, with the rain changing back over to some snow showers. The good news is it's all out of here by sunrise Tuesday. Skies will clear, but it will be cold behind the font with highs back in the upper 20s.
Check back in later for more on this Monday mess!
