Police said a maintenance worker discovered the body on July 15 in the South Bronx. It was inside a plastic bag and wrapped in a moving blanket.

Police said the suspect pushed the victim to the ground and hit her multiple times before stealing her fanny pack.
Police said a passerby saw the body in the water shortly after 11 p.m. near Pier 35 on South Street and called 911.
