(Episode 449; 17 minutes 26) To celebrate International Women's Day (March 8), in this edition of BTalk I ask James Thomson, editor at, who are the most successful business women in Australia? The list includes Therese Rein, wife of Prime Minister Rudd, but you might not recognise the name at the top of the list. Jan Cameron does not have a high profile despite running a billion dollar business. Hear the success stories of these and others on the list in today's programme.

I also highlight some of Australia's best employers for women. The Federal Government's Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency has listed 95 organisations that are recognised as employers of choice because of their ratio of women in management roles, having a narrower pay gap and offering more paid maternity leave.

Do you think that women are being given a fairer go these days? Add your thoughts in the comments section at the end of this post.
