St. Paul passes gun restriction ordinance, but state law would need to be lifted to take effect

Officials in St. Paul, Minnesota, say the city has adopted a comprehensive gun violence prevention ordinance on Wednesday. The ordinance bans assault-style weapons and high-capacity magazines. It was passed unanimously by the City Council. The ordinance will not take effect until the state preemption law is lifted.
