Minnesota lawmaker: Conditions at ICE center in Whipple building are "heartbreaking"
Minnesota lawmakers on Monday got their first look inside the Whipple Federal Building since the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement surge began in December. One called the conditions heartbreaking. The building is a hub for federal agents in town and supposed to be a temporary home for people detained by ICE. As Senior Investigative Reporter Jennifer Mayerle reports, those lawmakers want Operation Metro Surge to end immediately.
