Minneapolis approves safe program that lets people sleep in cars parked overnight at supervised lots
The ordinance allows people without homes to stay in vehicles at managed off-street lots run by nonprofits, government agencies or religious organizations. It still needs Mayor Jacob Frey’s signature, and no sites are lined up.
