Coming into the 2014-15 season there was plenty of cautious optimism surrounding the Minnesota Wild.

Darcy Kuemper made 26 saves for his third shutout of the season, and defenseman Jared Spurgeon had two assists to lead the Minnesota Wild past the Arizona Coyotes 2-0 on Thursday night. Kuemper has allowed just two goals in four starts, and has all three of Minnesota's victories this season. Arizona's Mike Smith entered the game having allowed at least four goals in each of his three starts this season. But he stopped 27 of 29 shots and blanked the Wild for all but a three-minute stretch early in the second period.
The Minnesota Wild have agreed to terms on a five-year, $16 million contract extension with right wing Charlie Coyle through the 2019-20 season. The deal was announced Wednesday for the 22-year-old Coyle, who is in third season with the Wild.
Alright Wild fans, it's time to get our boys back to their winning ways. That trip out to the west coast did not pan out like fans or the team would have liked it to, but with the State of Hockey behind them, I'm sure the Wild is ready to get back at it.
