World Bank President To Speak In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- World Bank President Robert Zoellick travels to Minneapolis this week to outline global economic challenges.

The former U.S. trade representative speaks at a University of Minnesota forum moderated by former Rep. Vin Weber on Wednesday.

Zoellick heads the Washington-based World Bank, which makes loans and grants to developing countries worldwide.

His speech is expected to address issues including trade, currency and the gap between rich and poor countries.

Zoellick has led the World Bank since 2007. He is a former executive at Goldman Sachs and mortgage giant Fannie Mae and served as a deputy secretary of state under President George W. Bush.
