MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after they say a woman was shot to death in northeast Minneapolis Wednesday night.

Police responded to the 2500 block of Stinson Parkway at about 9 p.m. on a report of a shooting. When authorities arrived, they found an adult female who had been shot. She was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Police said there are no suspects in custody at this time and they don't have a lot of information about the incident. They did say the shooting was not random.

The victim's identity has not yet been released, but police say she was 28 years old. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Minneapolis Police at (612) 692-8477.
