Wish Sid Hartman A Happy 95th Birthday!

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Sid Hartman is turning a spry 95 on Friday, March 13, and WCCO Radio will be celebrating Hartman's birthday on-air!

A native of north Minneapolis, he was already a well-known newspaper columnist when he joined the staff of WCCO Radio in 1955, and has become one of the station's most popular personalities.

His Sunday morning "Sports Huddle" program is a staple for sports fans throughout the region. Along with that program, which he has hosted for years on Sunday mornings with Chuck Lilligren and Dave Mona, and his regular column in the Star Tribune, he continues to bring his listeners and readers the scoops and insights that only he can.

In 2011, Sid was honored by both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Lakers before a game for his contributions to both organizations and in 2014 he was honored by the Minnesota Twins for his contributions to Major League Baseball in Minnesota.
