Weather Blog: Attention Light Sleepers!
You will not sleep well Tuesday night because of the wicked wind. It will blow from the southwest 20-30 mph with gusts up over 40 mph.
The National Weather Service has a high wind warning in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday. It will stay windy, and we may see a change from rain to snow even around the metro.
I don't expect much accumulation around the Twin Cities because of the warm ground. But parts farther north could see a few inches in the grassy areas by tomorrow morning.
The combination of falling and blowing snow will make travel tough through Wednesday morning.
Expect a windy day with things finally settling down by Thursday.
It will be much cooler the next few days, but we return to the 50s by Friday.
