MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you missed the WCCO Saturday Morning show this weekend, here's a rundown of the highlights and links for more information.
Mike's Mix this week focuses on Dakota County Technical College, which is offering students a program that will prepare them for the brewing industry! Trot down to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds for the 2016 Horse Expo. More than 700 booth spaces of vendors and products will be at the event. Expo-goers can enjoy free horse, pony and wagon rides as well. And there will be a rodeo Saturday night in the coliseum. The expo goes until 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $11 for adults and $7 for kids.
Saturday is the 2nd-annual Bemidjigamaag Powwow. Both native and non-indigenous people will have the opportunity to come together and embrace Minnesota's Native American culture. This free event goes from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Sanford Center Arena in Bemidji.
Tickets go on sale Saturday for three months of concerts begin in June at the Minnesota Zoo. It offers a variety of music genres for fans of all age, and this year will feature legendary artists such as Blondie, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Indigo Girls, The Jayhawks and much more. The first concert is June 10. Tickets are $36.
And you can find nearly 70 exhibitors and more than 100 presentations this weekend at the Outdoor Adventure Expo. They'll cover boating, fishing, kayaking, backpacking and more. The event is at Midwest Mountaineering in Minneapolis. It goes from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. And the expo is free to attend.
