Thousands To Bike For MS This Weekend

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Multiple sclerosis is a disease that has no known cure and has puzzled doctors for decades.

This weekend, thousands of residents from around Minnesota are hoping they can help do something to change that. There are more than 5,000 people in the Twin Cities who have multiple sclerosis, and Sam's Club will be serving as host Saturday for the Twin Cities Ride for MS.

The event starts at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Century College in White Bear Lake. Bikers have a choice of a 52-mile or 22-mile scenic ride along the Gateway Trail. There is no specific start time as riders can show up any time between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m.

The group "Together in MS" will host a finishing ride rally after the event and host lunch for everyone who participates.
