Lowry Hill Tunnel Reopens After Milk Truck Overturn
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Lowry Hill Tunnel in Minneapolis has reopened just in time for evening rush hour after a milk truck had overturned inside it on Wednesday morning.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation said the truck had overturned on eastbound I-94, spilling its contents -- milk.
Authorities said the truck was headed westbound on I-94 when it hit the median and rolled over into the eastbound lanes. Erik Roeske with Minnesota State Patrol said on Twitter that at least three other eastbound vehicles were involved in the crash.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, there were no serious injuries in the incident. The truck driver and one other person were taken to the hospital.
