Superintendent: Loaded Gun Found In Backpack In St. Paul High School
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A loaded gun was found Wednesday morning in a student's backpack at Harding High School in St. Paul.
Superintendent of St. Paul Schools Valeria Silva says the gun was discovered after a teacher called for authorities to do a search for marijuana.
"In my 10 years, I have never had to deal with this and I want it to be the last time," she said at a press conference. "We found the gun, there was no intention of using the gun."
Silva says staff and all parents have been notified.
There is a continuing investigation into the incident.
