1 Dead In Hugo Car Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person died after a two-car crash in Hugo Friday morning.
According to the state patrol, the incident occurred around 10:39 a.m. at Highway 61 and 130th Street North.
Police said 50-year-old Shawn Hagen, of Hugo, was traveling southbound on Highway 61 when he lost control. Hagen went into the northbound lanes where he was hit broadside by 61-year-old Darlene Kelley, of White Bear Lake.
Hagen was pronounced dead Friday morning. Kelley sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The road in the area was closed Friday but has now been reopened.
