MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 76-year-old woman died Monday afternoon in a rollover crash just south of Brainerd, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities were called to the accident at about 2:30 p.m. on Highway 25 near milepost 144. The State Patrol says a Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading northbound on Highway 25 south of Brainerd when it drifted into the northbound ditch, vaulted over a driveway approach and landed on its roof.

The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified by the State Patrol as 76-year-old Patricia C. Tougas of Brainerd.

What led up to the crash is under investigation.
