St. Paul Police Investigate Double Shooting
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- St. Paul Police are investigating after two men were sent to the hospital Sunday night following a shooting in St. Paul.
The two men, 26-year-old Ryan Isiah Thompson and 25-year-old James Earl Ryan, were sent to Regions Hospital with gunshot wounds. Police say Thompson's injuries are critical. Ryan suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Officers responded to the shooting around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of East Rose Avenue.
Police do not believe the shootings were random. They say Thompson and Ryan were sitting in a car outside of an apartment building when someone approached the vehicle and began shooting.
No arrests have been made. Police are investigating the events that led up to the shooting.
The shooting suspect is described as a black man, approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, wearing a light colored sweatshirt and a do-rag.
