Snow-Business Is Booming -- Finally

BURNSVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) -- Just a few weeks ago, Chuck Albrecht had his fingers crossed for some winter weather. Mother Nature has granted his wish.

Albrecht is president of Burnville-based Northern Tool & Equipment, which has seen a boom in business over the last month.

"It's probably better than it's been in awhile" Albrecht said.

From snow blowers to shovels, as well as ice melting products, Albrecht said people are buying.

The rise in business may directly be in correlation with the falling snow. WCCO Radio meteorologist Mike Lynch said in most of Minnesota this is the snowiest start to the season in 19 years.

WCCO's Adam Carter talked with Chuck Albrecht of Northern Tool and Equipment about his turnaround in business.
