Sheriff: St. Cloud Man Shot Several Times

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in Stearns County say one man was hospitalized Sunday evening after being shot several times.

The county sheriff's office says deputies and other emergency personnel responded shortly after 8 p.m. to a call of shots fired on the 18000 block of 332nd Street in Avon Township.

At the scene, they found a 43-year-old man from St. Cloud with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported via helicopter to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

The victim was not named, but authorities say he is in stable condition.

Authorities also said that a 38-year-old Avon man was involved in the shooting. However, it was not clear if he was a suspect.

The shooting remains under investigation.
