MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 30-year-old Owatonna man died in a crash Monday morning in Steele County.

Jason Jeffrey Ost was killed when his vehicle -- traveling northbound on County Road 45 -- collided with a car traveling eastbound on 58th Street at about 7:45 a.m., according to the Steele County Sheriff's Office.

Ost was ejected from his vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was taken to a Rochester hospital.

The 17-year-old driver of the eastbound vehicle was also taken to a Rochester hospital. Their identities and conditions have not been released.

The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting in the investigation.
