Sheboygan Evacuated Over Threat Of Explosion
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — The potential of an explosion caused an evacuation in a Sheboygan neighborhood where a fire had broken out.
The blaze burned a large shed that contained four 100-pound liquefied petroleum tanks Sunday night. Authorities ordered residents within a two-block radius to temporarily leave their homes.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze without the tanks exploding. Some nearby houses were damaged by fire.
