Sentencing Scheduled For Wednesday In Zumberge Trial

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A New Brighton man found guilty of killing his neighbor will be sentenced Wednesday.

Last month, a jury found Neal Zumberge guilty on all four counts for the 2014 shooting death of Todd Stevens and injuring Jennifer Cleven.

It stemmed from a long running dispute over feeding deer and neighboring squirrels.

Jurors didn't buy the story that Zumberge was acting in self-defense and protecting his wife.

Sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday in Ramsey County.
