Staff at Target Field told WCCO that people were stuck in elevators as a result of the outage.

The Twins said in a social media post that pregame ceremonies were delayed until the issue was resolved.

Xcel Energy said an "equipment failure along the main power line that serves the stadium" caused the outage.

The team was scheduled to take on the Tampa Bay Rays beginning at 3:10 p.m. WCCO has learned that the first pitch was estimated for 4:05 p.m.

Minnesota beat Tampa Bay 10-4. Tristan Gray hit his first career grand slam to cap a seven-run seventh inning for the Twins and Josh Bell had two hits and two RBIs.
