MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A disagreement in a Minnetonka parking lot led to a police chase and one man in police custody.

It started in a parking lot near Ridgedale where police say four people were in a car and had a disagreement. When officers were called to the scene, the car hit a police vehicle and multiple cars as he tried to escape the parking lot.

Minnetonka Police say a chase ensued and pursuing officers lost the suspect, but later found his car crashed near Highway 7 and Williston Road. When officers approached, three suspects surrendered and the driver fled the scene.

Police used a K-9 unit to track down the suspect, and he was taken into custody. The other three passengers were questioned and released.

All in all, officers say a police car was damaged along with five or six other cars in the chase.
