Passenger In Fatal Isanti Co. Motorcycle Crash Dies 2 Months Later

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Minneapolis man has died due to injuries he suffered in a deadly motorcycle crash two months earlier.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, John Robert Syrovatka, 64, died of complications from blunt force injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash in July.

The crash happened at 4:14 p.m. on July 26 near the intersection of Highway 47 and 261st Avenue in Isanti County. According to the State Patrol, a vehicle was turning into the southbound lane of the highway when a northbound motorcycle, driven by 70-year-old Dexter Gener Olson of Robbinsdale, crashed into the driver's side of the car.

Olson was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

Syrovatka was a passenger on the motorcycle. He died on Sept. 30.

The State Patrol says it didn't appear alcohol played a factor in the crash.
