Officers Respond To Apparent Murder-Suicide In Wisconsin
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in northwestern Wisconsin responded Wednesday to an apparent murder-suicide.
Sawyer County Sheriff Mark Kelsey says officers were called to a home on Twin Lakes Road shortly after 9 a.m. on a report that a woman had been shot.
When they arrived, they found 56-year-old Claudia R. Bergan inside the home with a gunshot wound to her chest. Outside, 58-year-old Dennis L Meyer was found dead with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Bergan was brought to a hospital, but died shortly later.
The sheriff's office is investigating.
