Oakdale middle school teacher accused of sexually assaulting girl
A math teacher at an Oakdale, Minnesota middle school is accused of sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend's daughter, according to charges filed Thursday.
Documents say the 12-year-old girl reported the alleged abuse to her mother after she saw the man during a trip to the Mall of America. According to the criminal complaint, the girl said the abuse took place multiple times between 2019 and 2022 at her mother's home. She said he had threatened to kill her mother if she told anyone about the incidents, documents state.
The 46-year-old man was charged in Hennepin County with one count of criminal sexual conduct with a person under the age of 13.
In a message sent out to families of Skyview Middle School, Superintendent Christine Osorio of District 622 said the man has been placed on administrative leave and cannot be on school property or have contact with students. Osorio said the girl had no known connection with the school or the district.
The man is in custody.
