RAMSEY, Minn. (WCCO) -- A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with another vehicle in Ramsey, Minn. Saturday afternoon.

The State Patrol said that the crash happened just after 5 p.m. on Highway 47 at 160th Lane Northwest. Officers said the motorcyclist was traveling south on the highway when he lost control and crossed into the northbound lane.

The motorcyclist -- who was identified as 55-year-old Garcia Bentura of Lino Lakes -- crashed into a Dodge Stratus.

Officials said Bentura received serious injuries from the crash. The condition of the driver of the other vehicle was not noted.

The crash closed down the highway for a period of time on Saturday.
