Minnesota, North Dakota Inmates Missing From Jail
CROOKSTON, Minn. (AP) -- Authorities are seeking a Minnesota man and another inmate from North Dakota because the men haven't returned from jail furloughs.
Polk County authorities identified the missing men as 42-year-old Pedro Gutierrez III, of Grand Forks, N.D.; and 24-year-old Thomas Simpson, of Crookston, Minn.
Minnesota officials say Gutierrez had been convicted on several charges, including check forgery. Simpson had been convicted of burglary.
Both were in jail because they'd violated probation terms.
A spokesman at the regional jail in Crookston said Thursday evening that the men had not been captured or returned.
